تدور احداث الفيلم حول (جيسون) صبي مهووس بالفنون القتالية الصينية وأفلام الكونج فو الصينية، يذهب ذات يوم إلى محل للرهونات حيث يكتشف هناك عصا صينية أثرية، وهذه العصا كانت ملكًا للملك القرد، وعندما يمسك العصا تظهر قوة تنقله إلى الصين القديمة.
